Emma’s is located in the Journal Square district of Jersey City, New Jersey. Owners, Dan and Kris, met in the 1990’s whey they were working at a restaurant in Brooklyn. Dan was the chef and Kris was the manager and they eventually fell in love.
After a few years, they had a daughter and named her Emma. Emma loved working with her parents in the kitchen frosting cakes with her mom and roasting racks of lamb with her father. After school, Emma would walk to their restaurant to sit in a booth and do her homework. As she grew, she got the chef bug and started helping the pastry chef make creme brûlée at the tender age of 14.
Emma’s is a casual restaurant that offers a warm and friendly atmosphere. It is still family owned and many family members like cousins and siblings. This warm and inviting restaurant has a 4.7-star rating with close to one hundred and fifty positive posts.
